About us

"Green Armenia" Environmental Educational NGO was founded in April 2019, even though its members had extensive experience in environmental protection and activism prior to founding the NGO. Since its establishment our organization implemented various projects, such as the study of operational tailing dams in Armenia, which was then presented to the public through a documentary. Our NGO also implemented the monitoring of international financial institutions involved in the mining sector in Armenia. It also presented amendments for the draft of law on Environmental Impact Assessment. Green Armenia NGO is cooperating with many communities in Armenia, such as Kapan, Meghri towns in Syunik region, Alaverdi, Shnogh in Lori region, Gladzor, Jermuk in Vayots Dzor community, etc. Our NGO also cooperates with international environmental and human rights organizations, such as Global Greengrants Fund, Urgent Action Fund, Czech organization Nesehnuti, Coalition for Human Rights in Development, etc.
